Job Description Contributor Software QA Engineering (The Air Availability Team) COMPANY OVERVIEW: The client is a global technology company that touches nearly every aspect of travel. PRODUCT OVERVIEW: The Air Availability (HPA) is a team that develops high performance core Java applications and provides air seats availability for shopping and pricing queries. We are looking for a Contributor Software QA engineer who will be responsible for verification, supporting and enhancing test application and processes. You will have an opportunity to cooperate with young, committed, development driven team with good atmosphere, working in modern technologies from core backend platform components, testing and maintenance are just only a few areas for you to grow, benefit and embrace the dynamic team. 2-4 Years’ experience Under general direction, debug complex software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products. Design, code and execute automated test scripts. Prepare reports and documentation updates. Technical consulting on automation issues, tools and processes. May take part in researching best practices, new tools and technology. Interact with senior internal and external personnel. Develop and executes software test plans. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consult with development engineers in resolution of problems. Job requirements REQUIRED SKILLS: QA experience, proven interpersonal, analytical, attention to detail/strategy, and creative problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla. Test Automation and Testing Tools (SoapUI/JMeter/TestNG or similar - BE ). Programming experience in Java Experience in relational database (MySql) Experience with Webservices (SOAP, REST) Knowledge of Linux operating system (user level) Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment Very good communication skills in English, written and verbal Experience in creating well defined Test Strategies for various types of Functional, Exploratory and Regression testing initiatives. Experience in testing UI and Backend applications. Experience working with global teams. Ability to handle multiple tasks/subprojects simultaneously, organizational skills. Takes initiative in handling issues that arise during testing PREFERRED SKILLS: Background in integration testing, testing interfaces between primary application and other applications. Scripting experience i.e. Python, JavaScript, bash. Experience using XML/OTA/XPath/XSD. Experience testing with Agile/Scrum/Iterative Development.
